Professor Etienne is the Antrippan Lord over Knowledge and Learning.
His followers are interested in collecting knowledge and archiving secrets.
They preserve the past so as not to repeat former mistakes. They also use
their knowledge to teach those of the present.
His followers are more interested in gathering knowledge than attaining
wisdom. Followers of Lord Etienne are not required to be wise or even
smart. They do not have to be 'quiet and contemplative'. In fact, his ranks
tend to be composed of widely varying personalities. There are fanatics for
collecting knowledge on magic, as well as people more focused on history or
fighting. First and foremost, however, his followers love to learn for the
sake of learning.
Lord Etienne is concerned with the collection and spread of knowledge.
Anything from history trivia to knowing where artifacts lay, or knowing the
culture of every race. Followers are be discouraged from supporting
anything that is more philosophy than fact, and they are encouraged towards
theories heavily supported by evidence and hard fact.
As a neutral faith, those devoted to Lord Etienne don't really have a
long-term goal. They collect and spread knowledge for the sake of
collecting it so that it never dies. They are neither good nor evil, and
tend to stay out of the way of actively supporting one side or the other.
