Lizardmen
About
The classification of lizardmen actually applies to over five different races, although most outsiders can’t tell the difference and even confuse them with Haikjadeam (who are snake people). Most Lizardmen are tribal, and although most can speak. Some variants speak only in a bestial lizard tongue few can understand.
Once a chief (usually male) is named in tribe of Lizardmen, they often form an elite guard among their best warriors to protect the chief. Anyone who does not obey the chiefs orders are cast out or killed by the elite guard.
Lizardmen are not fond of building their own homes and tend to occupy old ruins or abandoned homes of other races. Although they originally came from swampland, they have since migrated and found a love for forested areas and abandoned settlements. Once a tribe of Lizardmen has occupied an area and established themselves they become extremely hostile to outsiders. Only one or two of the variants even speak with other races let alone conduct trade.
Strengths and Weaknesses
Scholars know the basic lizardman as a Yatt; baring green scales, they have a balance between strength, dexterity and constitution with no weaknesses. However there are many variants on the race, some with critical weaknesses to cold based attacks, and some that spit acid or breathe poison gas.
