Goals
As you play your character, there are going to be certain things that you are going to want to accomplish. In developing your character and your roleplay, you will set and surpass goals for yourself. The goal system on Lensmoor is set up as a tool to formalize your goals and get rewarded as you complete them. The goals that are formally set by an Immortal must be measurable, and based on roleplay.
Although you may include mechanical aspects in your goals, they may not be the primary focus. For example, since leveling your character or becoming a Hero / Sage of the lands is already a reward in itself, they may not be listed as the primary aspect of a goal.
There is no down side for your character to set a goal. As they are meant to be long-term, goals can be changed as necessary if your roleplay and character changes to an extent that you would no longer be able to complete your initial goal. There is no reason to feel stuck in your character because of a goal that you feel is no longer fitting.
Character may set and complete as many goals as they can. However, each goal must be something long-term for the character to achieve, and something that is easily measurable by the Immortals giving out the rewards.
While each goal should be different, here are some examples of components that may be used within a goal:
*Hosting a relevant RP event
*Gaining recognition (status) for something relevant to the goal
*Publishing a relevant book in-game (or several)
*Mastering a relevant specialization
*Obtaining a relevant title
*Getting relevant (non-book) items added in-game
Your goal should be specific to your character's RP, and may use some of the above components, or be something completely different. Your goal should not be a copy of someone else's. As with most things in Lensmoor, there is no limit to what you can accomplish and set for yourself.
Actual Player Examples:
Brid's Goal: Build a dragon's hoard: 2000 units of 60% gold, silver,
platinum & gems. (Note: This goal is purely mechanical and would require
a RP component if requested today.)
Dracen's Goal: To be known as a Child of Antrippan Unity (title quest), a
master healer and to throw one ball for the Unity of Antrippan in Lord
Dredor's name. Two famous and one immtoken upon complete.
Wyd's Goal: Publish a journal documenting in detail the taste of blood of
all playable races (minus liche). 1 skilled, 1 trusted, and an immtoken.
